At The Classroom Partnership, we’re proud to support initiatives that inspire pupils, raise aspirations and bring memorable learning experiences into schools.
Through our wider education partner network, pupils were given the opportunity to hear from Olympic gymnast Sam Oldham as part of a free school assembly focused on resilience, determination and ambition.
During the assembly, Sam shared his journey to the London 2012 Olympic Games, speaking openly about the dedication, setbacks and mindset needed to achieve at the highest level. His story offered pupils a powerful reminder that success is built through perseverance, goal-setting and self-belief.
The session was designed to:
- Inspire pupils with real-life stories of resilience and determination
- Encourage ambition through powerful goal-setting messages
- Create a memorable moment students will remember beyond the classroom
Sam said:
“My goal is to inspire the next generation through sharing my Olympic journey and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. The values of attainment, achievement and aspiration played a huge role in my journey to the London 2012 Olympic Games, and it’s incredibly rewarding to now help inspire young people within local schools and communities. By delivering motivational assemblies and speaking directly with students, we hope to encourage resilience, confidence and ambition in the next generation.”
This initiative reflects our commitment to working with education partners to support young people not only academically, but personally — helping pupils build confidence, ambition and resilience for the future.
