At The Classroom Partnership, we are proud to support our partner schools with tools that make a real difference in the classroom. That’s why we have officially sponsored the Dog, Duck & Cat Trust (DDCT) and as a result, we have secured prepaid access to their full library of PSHE/RSHE resources, available to all our partner schools at no cost.
Who Are the Dog, Duck & Cat Trust?
DDCT provide interactive and engaging educational resources for children aged 11 and under, giving schools everything they need to deliver high-quality and effective PSHE-based learning across a range of statutory topics.
How It Works in the Classroom
For children in Year 4 and below, DDCT use a topic-based story approach featuring three loveable main characters: Dog, Duck and Cat. This allows key messages to be delivered in a fun and engaging way, whilst enabling children to explore sensitive topics in a safe, age-appropriate manner.
For children in Years 5 & 6, DDCT offer their ‘Ant and Us’ programme. Ant poses a question to the children via an animation, kicking off the learning for each topic area. This encourages a more pupil-led approach whilst ensuring key messages are clearly understood.
Comprehensive lesson plans and resources accompany both programmes.
Built With Schools, For Schools
All resources have been created by an experienced, qualified and passionate team and crucially, everything has been extensively piloted with schools and their pupils. This ensures that DDCT’s resources are fit for purpose and genuinely meet the outcomes they are designed to support, including children’s personal development, safety and wellbeing.
We’re delighted to be able to offer this to our partner schools as part of our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve.
